the big 20.

Happy birthday to my bestest friend and sister Michelle Cahoon!

I've got so many wonderful memories with this girl it's crazy. She worked for my mom for 2 years and I absolutely loved working with her. People think she is just this shy girl, but once you get to know her, you will never think that again! Everytime I drove past her house, I would randomly stop and we would talk for hours. I honestly look up to her so much. She has the cutest style, she is so nice to everybody around her, and she is so stong in the church. Even though she is all the way down in Utah going to university and I'm still just this little girl in high school, we keep up a pretty good friendship :) I love this girl so much, and can't wait for her to come up and visit again! Happy 20th Meessshhh :)

sadies?

so sadies is this friday, i am super stoked. its basically THE best dance of the school year. my two best friends and i asked our three best guy friends! its gunna be so fun because we hang out with them all the time anyways so why not make it a date?! so we asked them one day after school when they were at volleyball practice.

whit asked dal.

inside joke :)

Unfortunately; there's no pictures of ashley and i asking aaron and colton. we were in a bit of a hurry.

and this is how they replyed.. they took us on a scavenger hunt through waterton! you can only imagine how that worked out. three blonde girls trying to figure out clues. ya, we basically had to call them every clue asking for help, but we finally got it!

the first clue we had to go to cameron falls. we climbed the little hike to the top and someone STOLE our next clue! we sat their searching for about 20 minutes. while we were there, why not take a picture?

my best friends :)

one of the next clues had one of us kayak out to the bouy and retrieve the next clue. it was actually really scary watching whitney float away into the lake! it was very swift! look at her, she was so happy to start and then she started freaking out. haha :)

then colton pulled out some macbeth questions on me that had us driving up to the prince of wales searching the rocks. dallin said that they left us three water bottles for our next clue. but again, someone stole them! but our next clue, which of course, was hiking up bears hump. we werent to happy about this. so when we finally reached the top, they were there waiting, big smiles on their face, until we wiped them away by yelling at them for making us hike. we thought we were done, but nope. we had to search around for a bucket which had the answer. well when we found it; it had some really really good cookies with a big YES on top of the bucket!

then being the nice boys they are, took us for a little picnic. ladies, watch out. their ours :)

just kidding, but we ARE very lucky for the wonderful friends we have! sadies is gunna be so much fun!

tick tock

the day begins in the middle of the night. i am not paying attention to anything but the clock noises, i am the one who takes everything so seriously, but all i hear is the ticking, and the pulsingit seems underneath every part of this moment, there is nothing i can do to change this perfect moment. for i never could imagine anybody but you right next to me, listening to the ocean waves. i am listening and i am not listening because your voice seems to drown everything else out, it's something i'm feeling all over. you complete me.

let it begin

You can only imagine how excited I am. I don't mean to brag, and even if I am, I'm sorry. I am fulfilling a life long dream of mine and it makes the wait a little more bearable to write it as a blogpost. But yes, in 200 days exactly, I will be in Europe with some best friends of mine. Katelyn and Melissa Hartley. Also my roommates :)

So let the countdown begin.

sunday

Sunday, I can honestly say that I love sundays. I love getting all dressed up for church and wanting to go learn something new. I love seeing all my friends, and all my friends parents for that matter. I love being one of the oldest in Young Womens, and I hope the little beehives look up to me the way I used to look up to the older girls. I love seeing all the Young Men looking so clean and sharp, because sunday is the only day they will do that. I love singing the hymns, because for some reason they make me feel better inside. I love coming home in a good mood, and my father is waiting to blow it. He always makes fun of me. I love sunday dinner. Mmmm, sunday dinner :) It's the only day my mom actually cooks, which makes me look forward to it even more. I love my home when it's quiet and I can just read my scriptures in peace. Oh, and I love sunday naps. Sunday naps tie it all together.

So Sunday, I will see you in a week.

rihanna says it best

These last couple days have been hard for me. I honestly couldn't tell you why. With the ridiculous amount of homework on my plate and keeping in touch with friends and family after a while gets stressful. Don't get me wrong, I love my friends and family more than anything in the world, but don't you ever just want to shut the world out and be alone? There are more than 6 billion people on this earth. There's no way I'll ever be alone even if I wanted too. As school progresses, and my routine seems to be the same almost everyday. Get up, get ready, go to school, hopefully learn something, come home, go to bed and then do it all over again the next day. Life can be so boring at times.

I better be grateful for the "boring" moments in my life because sooner or later they will end. I will be graduating from high school in 2 years, going to college, and then eventually I will get married. Wow, what a crazy thought. I have absolutely no idea what I want to be when I get older. Everybody keeps asking me what I want to do with my life. My parents ask me almost everyday and it seems like that's the only thing I talk to them about. The whole college thing seems to be way to confusing for me right now. They ask me where and what I will do when I'm done high school. And as of right now, I don't know. But hopefully someday when they ask me again, I'll know.

But right now, I'm just going to live my life.

those butterflies are back

Everytime I see your face, you try and put on a smile. When I hear your voice, the butterflies inside my stomach take off. You try and hold back what's really happening in your life. No one can understand your trials the way I do. When your pushing the rest of the world out, let me in. Sometimes people come into your life, and you know right away that they are supposed to be there. You've taught me so many things.

you taught me to appriectate my loved ones, because any minute they could be gone
you taught me to love the simple things in life; like the sound of rain or looking up at the stars at night
you taught me to never give up on my dreams
you taught me theres more to life then just living it
you taught me to be honest with myself and others
you taught me that no ones family is perfect
you taught me to not judge others for who they are
you taught me talent comes with hard work
you taught me that we all make mistakes; and that it's okay
you taught me that life's beautiful

So I'm done hiding.

letters

I know I just posted yesturday, and I try to keep it at least a couple days before I post again but I just HAVE to say this.

Today, I got a letter form the one and only Elder Johnny Wenzel :) I was so excited to open his letter! I could barely contain myself. I met Johnny at EFY 2 years ago I believe, and we have been so close ever since! His little sister is one of my bestest friends ever, so I guess you could say I'm pretty close with the fam!

Anyways, he is serving in the Michigan Area and from his letter, he loves everything about it!

goodbye summer

With school just around the corner, and only a few days left of summer. I gathered some of my close friends and we decided to jump into a lake. A freezing cold lake, I might add. We had a marshmellow roast, played some basketball, watched some movies, had lots of junkfood, and just had tons a fun :)

change is inevitable

I think the only reason people hold on to memories so tight is because memories are the only thing that don't change, when everybody else does.

friends

Honestly–and I don't mean to brag–I have the best of friends. They always lead me on the right path, they tell me when I do something stupid and they are always there for me. They make life WAY easier when theres people you love right behind you. I have a group of girls that I love, and this is why I love them.

Ash
I know you've been through alot lately; even these past few hours have been tough for you, but I want you to know you are seriously one of the strongest girls I know. You are so beautiful; inside and out, and I never want to see you cry. I want you to know that you deserve the best, because you are the best. I thought High School would tear us apart, but we have become so much closer. I love you so much.

Whit
Haha, this girl. Who doesn't love her?! I'm so glad that I know you. I love how I can call you up anytime and you are always so happy to hear my voice, and I love hearing yours! I'm pretty sure you are the most gorgeous girl I know. Period. I love all the memories we have together. Basketball trips, blonde moments, and of course how we bathed in the river:) I'm so glad we are best friends. And I'm so glad your you. Don't ever change.

Trinaaa
When I think of you. I smile sooo big. Everytime I see you, even if its been like not even a day. We always run to eachother and give eachother hugs. I love how we live right beside eachother, and how we randomly hang out. Oh, and by the way; you are so cute! I love everything about you! Oh, especially how you work at Lick n Nibble and how you give me free icecream! haha:) I love you so much girl.

Lexa
I. Love. You. Your are my idol! For some strange reason, you make me want to be a rebel! I don't know if that's good or bad because you have to be an example to me. Hah, either way I love you. I love our choir trips together! and our.. lesbian moments I might add? Hope that doesn't sound to weird. Everytime I see you; we practically tackle eachother. Makes me smile everytime. I can't wait for you to be in high school!

Hales
Up. Down. Up. Down. That pretty much desribes our relationship since like grade 6! To be honest you; I am so jealous of you. I know jealously is bad and all, but seriously you are so good at everything you put your mind too and you are soo sooo sooooo pretty. Even though you never give yourself credit for it!
I'm so glad we have finally put our past behind us and we've become such good friends. I love how I can be my crazy self in front of you. You are an amazing friend. I'm so happy that we are UP right now and from now on always will be!

Josie
I don't think I have ever loved anyone as much as I have loved you. We've only known eachother for about 3 years but I feel like I have known you my entire life. I am so glad that my first year of EFY was spent with you. You made my EFY years. You have no idea how big of an example you are to me. Thank you so much for letting me come down to Utah and stay a week with you. It's another week with you I will never forget. I love you so much Josie. I can't wait to see you again.

princess for a day

This past week I have had the opportunity of going to TWO surprise parties for two very special and close friends of mine. They both celebrated their 16th birthdays and of course, what a huge deal that is to a teenage girl!

Party #1 : Kendra Quinton. What a strong and pure young woman. I've had the privilage of being a part of this girls life. She's so beautiful iniside and out. I honestly couldn't ask for a better friend.

Did I mention we rode in a limo?

Party #2 :  Marleya Johnson. Just saying her name gives me chills. I've known this girl for all of my life. I must say we have had our ups and downs just like any other relationship, but this girl means alot to me. She has always been there for me in the past and I know she always will be in the future.

These girls arn't just princesses for a day; but for a lifetime.
