boxing day, my parents and i went down to arizona for a week. although we didnt do much besides look at houses, shop and eat. it was a pretty fun week. i got to see some cousins of mine and play a little basketball with them which was actually really fun. my litle cousin jake is 10 years old and hes already rank at basketball. we went and looked at the christmas lights at the mesa temple, which was so beautiful. but then again all temples are absolutely breathtaking! heres a quick look.

we went to this cute little ghost town and just walked around and took in the view. arizona is seriously so beautiful. the cactuses all around is just an amazing sight. with my dad being an archeoligist and all, we went a few sites and the history there is sooo cool. the second last night, i met these kids from iowa. there was 2 boys, one was my age, another was 16, and there was a girl who was 14. and those boys were seriously the funniest people. knowing them for 2 hours they were already making fun of me and canada. (since i am the only canadian they have ever met) they got a kick out of what i said. they were super sweet boys and i hope i will see them again in the future! then on friday morning, we went to the swap meet. there was a whole bunch of booths selling really cheap stuff. and sure enough, we saw some people from mountain view (what a small world it is) and i also those boys from iowa. as much as i love travelling, a place is only as good as the people you know in it. it's so good to be home!

wooo! sadies was pretty awesome this year! after decorating for the dance a whole bunch of people came over to my house and we ordered pizza, played games, watched tv, and just hung out. the theme for sadies this year was famous duos/movie stars. my date and i (aaron k.) dressed up as juno and bleeker.

it's harder then you think to dance around with a pillow under my shirt! it was a pretty fun night with some pretty fun people if you ask me. i have the best of friends :)

best weekend so far!

okay so, first week of school was kinda lame. until friday night. i had my wards country fair which is always a blast and then the first football game and dance of the year was on friday night. if you know me, i LOVE dances. and have been craving to go to one all summer, and i was kinda worried that it wouldnt turn out how i expected it too, but it turned out soo much better. i flippin crowd surfed! thats how amazing it was! being surrounded by a whole bunch of sweaty teenagers was pretty gross but in the end, best dance so far.
